Death, kidnapping, murder After the thrilling events of book one, the City Spies are back and the young MI6 agents have a new mission. After finding out some new intel about a potential mole in the organization, a lead brings them to San Francisco, California. As they investigate the death of a spy they soon find themselves being the centre of some unwanted attention. It’ll take some quick thinking and maybe even a rogue mission or two if they’re going to be able to outsmart double agents.
This was a great read! I loved how from the very first chapter we're thrown back into the action and adventure of the City Spies world. Just like in book one, there were exciting spy missions and daring action scenes. Each mystery and puzzle were a lot of fun to solve and their solutions were surprising at every turn. The writing style is very easy to follow and sucks you into the story. I could vividly picture each setting and it made for a very immersive reading experience. All of the amazing characters are back in full force and have a lot of character development. I'm very excited to learn more about each of the City Spies as the series continues. I also highly recommend the audiobook version, the narrator did a fantastic job of voicing all of the characters. Readers of every age will enjoy this series, I recommend it to anyone who likes a good spy story. It has everything from heists to royalty, and everything in between! A great sequel filled with exciting plot twists, intriguing puzzles, and loveable characters. I gave this book 4/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. That's a wrap on my review of Golden Gate by James Ponti. I hope you enjoyed it! If you were recruited as a spy, what would your cover story be? Let me know in the comments below!
