Hello bookworms! Today's post is a book haul! I usually don't purchase books but instead borrow them from my library. In my opinion your public library is such a vital resource for readers. I often borrow physical copies of books but I also check out audiobooks and ebooks. However this month I purchased three books that are centred around mystery and fantasy. The Sorceress by Michael Scott This is the third book in The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series. This series follows twins Sophie and Josh Newman on their journey as the children of prophecy, as Nicholas Flamel and his wife Perenelle attempt to keep them safe from the Dark Elders. I won't go into further detail as to avoid spoilers, but I'm excited to continue this series as I've enjoyed the previous two books. The first and second books have set up for a very interesting continuation of story and I am eager to find out what it has in store.
Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin The final book of the haul is Serpent & Dove, lately this book has been all over booktube and bookstagram. I was sold on the synopsis as soon as I heard it. It has become a fast favourite among the community and many people are awaiting the sequel. A witch in hiding is forced to marry a witch hunter, what's not to love? Louise has been forced into hiding in order to protect herself, and Reid has sworn himself to the church in order to protect his people. I already can't wait to see all the twists and turns of this plot. The cover is absolutely stunning, it has the new recurring theme of the "book snake" with that lovely gold colour. That's all folks! I hope you liked my March book haul, tell me down below if you are excited about any of my recent additions to my tbr. What books do you guys plan on reading this month?

Hello bookworms! Today is the first day of April and it marks the beginning of the OWLs Magical Readathon for 2020! I have never been able to participate in this readathon since I am usually very busy in April, however now I have lots of time since I am staying home. For those that haven't heard of the OWLs Readathon before it is a month long readathon based on the examinations from Harry Potter. In order to become whatever profession you want, you must complete certain exams called the OWLs. To complete the exam for a particular subject you have to read a book that fulfills the prompt. For more information such as the career guidebook and prompts here is the official website, as well as the host's youtube video. For this year I have decided to fulfill the Magizoologist career! I definitely decided on this career because of Fantastic Beasts and Newt. For this career there is 4 OWLs exams I must complete. They are Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Herbology, and Potions.
