It's the last day of January bookworms! And that means it's time for a reading wrap up! The first month of 2022 is already over but I'm happy with my reading! I read a total of 11 books this month. In this wrap up I'll be providing a few of my thoughts on each book and some quotes if any stood out to me while reading. I will also be sharing my star rating out of 5.
Favourite Book This Month This month I had two 5 star reads! My favourite read this month was Hamilton: The Revolution! It was just a ton of fun and gave me another excuse to rewatch the musical (not that I needed one 😂).
That's a wrap on my January 2022 reading wrap up! I hope you enjoyed it! How many books did you read this month? Which one was your favourite? Let me know in the comments below!

It's 2022 bookworms! I hope this year has been good to you so far! Today I am super excited to be chatting with you all about some of my most anticipated releases of 2022. There are SO many books I am dying to read this year! This list contains 15 releases that I am the most excited to read, and they are ordered by release date! Let's dive in! Anatomy: A Love Story by Dana Schwartz January 18th I heard gothic mystery romance and I came running. As some of you may know, I'm a biology major and love learning about anatomy. This also reminds me a bit of Stalking Jack the Ripper in that our main character wants to become a surgeon but is discriminated against because of her gender. There is also another character who is a "resurrection man" and it sounds fascinating. Also this cover? Gorgeous and functional! I can't wait to pick this up! Only a Monster by Vanessa Len February 22nd I've had my eye on this book for a while. Something about the synopsis just intrigues me! I've been wanting to read more books about villains and this whole idea of monsters and monster hunters sounds exciting! I also like the trope of heirs to wealthy and powerful families. Excited to see what this has in store! Gallant by V.E. Schwab March 1st I attended a virtual Frenzy Presents meeting where V.E. Schwab came and talked about this book and I am so excited to pick it up! This premise of a girl wanting to find out more about her family and her past after her mother passes sounds very interesting. So far I've only read City of Ghosts by this author but enjoyed it! I really need to pick up more of her work! A Far Wilder Magic by Allison Saft March 8th Now as I'm sure you know, Down Comes the Night by Allison Saft was one of my top 10 favourite reads of 2021. I absolutely adored it in every way, from the characters, setting, plot, and magic system. So I am BEYOND excited to read Allison's latest work A Far Wilder Magic. I'm part of her street team for this book and let me tell you it's been so much fun. It's about a sharpshooter and alchemist with the grumpy and sunshine trope! Which you guys know I love! One for All by Lillie Lainoff March 8th I actually first found out about this book on Twitter! But as soon as I read the synopsis I knew I had to add this to my tbr. I've loved the story of the Three Musketeers since I was little, and seeing a gender bent version? So cool. I'm also excited to learn more about fencing as the author has talked about their love of fencing. This book also has own voices POTS representation which is something I've never seen before in YA. I'm already predicting that I'll love it! A Forgery of Roses by Jessica S. Olson March 29th In A Forgery of Roses the main character has the ability to change a person's appearance by painting a portrait of them. If that didn't spark your interest, now she has to paint a portrait of a governor's son in order to bring him back from the dead. This sounds like an exciting mystery fantasy! Love from Scratch by Kaitlyn Hill April 5th I don't know about you but I love a good baking competition. And baking in general 😂. I also love a good academic rivals to lovers! This sounds like a super cute romance! Hotel Magnifique by Emily J. Taylor April 5th In this book the main character works at a hotel which for some reason sounds really cool to me 😂. Not to mention that it's a magic hotel. I've heard this been compared to Caraval which (surprise, surprise) I haven't read yet but am hoping to pick up this month! This sounds like a great setting and I'm excited to see what the author does with it! See You Yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon May 3rd I'm always looking for more YA books set in college. Also this idea of reliving a day over and over again sounds fun and I'm excited to see what the main character does. This sounds like it'll be a fun read! Dead End Girls by Wendy Heard May 10th This wouldn't be a Page by Paige Books anticipated releases post if I didn't mention some type of thriller mystery, would it? This book about a girl wanting to fake her death sounds really intriguing. I'm sure there will be lots of plot twists along the way! Once Upon a K-Prom by Kat Cho May 17th This book sounds adorable! Friends to lovers but also with the celebrity trope? Sign me up! I also love K-pop so this sounds right up my alley! Out of the Blue by Jason June May 31st Something else I love is mermaids! And the idea of living underwater. This upcoming book by Jason June sounds so cute! I also hope that within the romance there is also a commentary on pollution and environment conservation. Flip the Script by Lyla Lee May 31st Since I read it back in the beginning of 2021. I haven't been able to stop talking about I'll Be the One by Lyla Lee. So I am so excited for her next YA work! I'm a fan of the K-POP genre and have always wanted to dive into the world of K-Dramas but have been a bit intimidated 😂. I can't wait to look into the behind the scenes of a k-drama being made from the perspective of one of the actors! Since this is by Lyla Lee I know it'll be jam packed full of good vibes and awesome characters! Crumbs by Danie Stirling July 19th I started reading this series on Webtoon but unfortunately fell behind. I'm super excited to revisit these characters again! I love the idea of a magic bakery with pastries that have special powers. And Ray and Laurie are so cute! How to Date a Superhero (And Not Die Trying) by Cristina Fernandez August 2nd This was another book I discovered on Twitter! When I tell you I love superhero movies I mean I ADORE superhero movies. Marvel (and to an extent DC) is a huge part of my life and I'll read or watch anything that involves superheroes. This book sounds like as if the main character were MJ or Gwen in the Spider-Man universe. YES PLEASE! Spider-Man is my favourite superhero! Those are my anticipated releases for 2022 bookworms! I hope you are as excited for these releases as I am! What are some of your most anticipated releases? Let me know in the comments below!
