Hi bookworms! Today is the last day of November so I'm coming to you with a November reading wrap up! This month was crazy busy and this is the least amount of books I've read in a while. I'm hoping that with winter break coming up that my December will be full of great books. In this wrap up I'll be providing a few of my thoughts on each book and some quotes if any stood out to me while reading. I will also be sharing my star rating out of 5.
Favourite Book This Month Unfortunately I wasn't a huge fan of either of the books I read this month so I don't have a favourite.
That's all for my November 2022 reading wrap up! I hope you enjoyed it! How many books did you read this month? Which one was your favourite? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy Sunday bookworms! Today I’m sharing 11 of my most anticipated releases for this month. These all look like so much fun! I already have some of them on my shelves that I’m dying to start reading! Salt and Sugar by Rebecca Carvalho November 1st Lately I've been loving books that have food themes, especially family owned restaurants. This book features two main characters whose families run competing bakeries. But to help save their bakeries from going under, the two will have to band together to outcompete the new grocery store in town. I can already tell this is going to be really cute. I mean the two bakeries are called Salt and Sugar! How to Excavate a Heart by Jake Maia Arlow November 1st I first heard about this book back when I attended the most recent Frenzy Presents event. I immediately couldn't wait to get my hands on this book once I heard the premise. How to Excavate a Heart follows Shani, who was dumped by her girlfriend right before winter break, now she’s determined to focus on her paleoichthyology internship. But then she accidentally hits May with her mom’s Subaru 😅. When their paths cross again because of Shani’s dog walking gig, May helps Shani move past her breakup and they start to grow closer. But is Shani ready for another committed relationship? I mean how cute is this? I can't wait to dive in! Cruel Illusions by Margie Fuston November 1st Since it's autumn I had to include a spooky book! In it we follow a vampire hunter who wants to avenge her mother's death, but no one has seen a vampire in ten years. Ava's luck is looking up when she hears about a magic show that might be harbouring vampires, but the magicians reveal that they're actually part of a secret society. They also tell Ava that she has similar magic to them and they'll help her if she competes in a dangerous competition. I love Gleanings by Neal Shusterman November 8th Gleanings is a collaboration between Neal and several other fantastic authors. In this book there is a collection of short stories all spread out along the timeline of the Arc of a Scythe series. I’ve heard that they feature characters that we know and love from the original trilogy but also introduce new heroes, villains, and some that are a bit in between! I can’t wait to see what this book has in store! The Do-Over by Lynn Painter November 15th The Do-Over follows Emilie who had an absolutely horrible Valentine’s Day, so she decides to escape to her grandmother’s house and ends up falling asleep on the couch. But when she wakes up, she’s back in her own bed and it’s Valentine’s Day all over again. And again, and again, and again. It turns out she’s stuck in time loop where she not only has to relive her boyfriend Josh cheating on her again and again but also run into the enigmatic Nick (sometimes literally). But could something good actually come out of these terrible days? And what happens once these do over stop? It sounds like a lot of fun! I’ve had Better Than the Movies by this author on my tbr forever and I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. The Lies We Tell by Katie Zhao November 15th Another family restaurant rivalry but make it spooky! I love how this book is set on a school campus, it's one of my favourite settings! The Lies We Tell sounds like it'll be a thrilling mystery. I'm excited to see what Anna and Chris uncover. The Vermillion Emporium by Jamie Pacton November 22nd In The Vermilion Emporium we follow a boy that finds a piece of starlight, and a daughter of a circus performer are roped into creating a dress for the ruler of the kingdom. Except they need more starlight to make it. I can't wait to follow their journey! Also this cover is so pretty and detailed! At Midnight: 15 Beloved Fairytales Reimagined edited by Dahlia Adler November 22nd Who doesn't love a twist on classic fairytales? I'm especially excited to read the retellings of The Nutcracker, Rumplestiltskin, and Snow White! Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales November 29th As you guys know, one of my all time favourite YA contemporaries is Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales, so you can imagine how excited I was to hear about a new book by Sophie! This book sounds like a great read. We follow a reality show where exes of one boy compete to win his back his affection. Maya knows how horrible their ex is, so she's working to show Jordy's true colours to the world. On the other hand, Skye is genuinely hoping to reconnect with Jordy. The two girls are soon swept up in the competition, but maybe they'll find something that neither of them were expecting? A Thousand Heartbeats by Kiera Cass November 29th I'm sure we've all heard about The Selection series by this author. It definitely is a guilty pleasure of mine 😂. Now Kiera is back with another royal romance but this time its star crossed lovers! I can't wait to read about the political intrigue and how these two main characters play off each other. Belittled Women by Amanda Sellet November 29th Little Women is a great classic book and I'm always ready to read a retelling. This one sounds like it turns the cozy plot on its head with familiar aspects woven throughout. I hope there's a lot of family themes and a bit of romance! Those are my anticipated releases for November 2022 bookworms! I hope you are as excited for these releases as I am! What are some of your most anticipated November releases? Are any of these books on your tbr? Let me know in the comments below!
