Happy Wednesday bookworms! Welcome to another book tag! Since I love mythology so much I knew I had to do this tag! Greek mythology is probably my favourite type of mythology but Norse mythology comes in at a close second for sure! We have a lot of Greek gods and goddesses to get through so let's jump into it! Zeus: God of Thunder and Sky / King of the Gods (Favourite Book) I have so many favourite books! The first ones that come to mind are the Percy Jackson series, Stalking Jack the Ripper, and Truly Devious! Poseidon: God of the Seas and Earthquakes (A Book that Drowned You in Feels) I'd have to say Illuminae! This book is an emotional rollercoaster for sure! You're constantly going back and forth from different emotions down to the last page. Hades: God of the Underworld (Favourite Book with a Dark/Ominous Plot) Three Dark Crowns!! I didn't even finish reading the prompt and I already knew 😂. The main plot of three sister queens trying to kill each other for the throne is definitely dark and ominous! It is definitely one of my favourite series of all time! Hera: Goddess of Marriage and Family (Cutest Fictional Couple) I could say so many couples from my all time favourite books like Audrey and Thomas from Stalking Jack the Ripper etc. but I thought I'd mention a couple from a book I don't talk about often! And that is The Sun is Also a Star! Natasha and Daniel are a very cute couple and their journey is amazing! Athena: Goddess of Wisdom, Handicraft and Strategic Warfare (Series with the Best World-Building) Aurora Rising had amazing world building! The detail about the different alien species and the planets was something I loved about this book! Aphrodite: Goddess of Love and Beauty (Most Beautiful Cover) One cover that I've recently seen that I found to be so beautiful is The Star Daughter! Ares: God of War and Bloodshed (Most Violent Book You've Ever Read) Lord of the Flies! It was a very brutal book and it was mainly why I didn't enjoy it. I might have read other more violent book but this was the first one that came to mind. Hephaestus: God of Blacksmiths and Fire (Scorching Hot Swoon Worthy Character) The Darkling from Shadow and Bone! To keep it different I didn't go with Thomas from Stalking Jack the Ripper or Maxon from The Selection. As soon as I read the trilogy I knew why everyone loved him so much. Artemis: Goddess of the Hunt (Favourite Kick-Ass Heroine) Definitely Annabeth from Percy Jackson! Her determination and cleverness is something I admire a lot. She's also very strong and is able to keep the crew of the Argo II alive! 😂 Apollo: God of Light and Healing (Sequel Book that Redeemed its Series) I'd say that Heart of Flames by Niki Pau Preto definitely made me enjoy the series more. I enjoyed the first book but was hesitant about continuing the series. However Heart of Flames was a great continuation and made me sure that I wanted to learn more about the world. Hermes: Messenger God of Thieves and Commerce (Book with the Best Message) Anne from Anne of Green Gables taught me to be unapologetically myself. It also teaches the value of family and friends. Which is something really important to me. I hope it spreads the same heartfelt message to everyone that reads it! Hestia: Goddess of the Hearth and Home (Book with the Most Relatable Story) For me personally, Truly Devious and the main character Stevie Belle were really relatable. I get anxious about new situations and some circumstances so seeing that in Stevie was relatable for me. Also her love of true crime is another thing we share! Demeter: Goddess of Fertility and Agriculture (Favourite Bookish Setting) My favourite type of bookish setting is a school type of setting! Like in Harry Potter, Truly Devious, and Hunting Prince Dracula! Dionysus: God of Wine and Celebration (2020 Release You are Most Anticipating) Without a doubt I cannot wait for Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco! Luckily I have an ARC so I can read it ASAP! And that's the end of the Greek Mythology Book Tag! I hope you enjoyed it! I definitely had a lot of fun answering the prompts and I really recommend it! I hope you have an awesome rest of your day, and keep reading!

Hi bookworms! It's the halfway point of the year already! I honestly can't believe how fast the year is going by, it's probably because I've been so busy 😂. I was tagged by the lovely Amy at @betweenthepages to do the Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag! Definitely go follow her and check out her bujo entry which was so fun to read! (She's also recently hit 1,000 followers so go celebrate with her!) Now without further ado, let's get into this tag! 1. How Much Have You Read? I thought I'd add this question in to show you guys my reading goal for 2020. I hope to read 100 books but as you can see I'm 7 books behind schedule, which is freaking me out a bit! I'm planning on reading a few mangas and other short books in order to catch up! On that note, add me as a friend on Goodreads! I'd love to see everyone's reading updates and it'll notify you of mine as well! 2. Best Book You've Read So Far In 2020 Obviously I couldn't choose just one book! These are some of my favourites. These all had amazing characters, plot twists and they made impressions on me! 3. Best Sequel You've Read So Far in 2020 I haven't read many sequels this year but Gemina and Escaping from Houdini are the best ones I've read. Gemina was shocking at every turn and so was Escaping from Houdini. I absolutely loved the new characters introduced in both books and they had me engaged constantly. 4. New Release You Haven't Read Yet Both of these are so high on my radar and are both sequels! I can't wait to dive into these soon! 5. Most Anticipated Release For the Second Half of the Year If you've been following me for a while you know that Kerri Maniscalco is one of my all time favourite YA authors so this comes as no surprise! 6. Biggest Disappointment I really wanted to love this book! I felt like it had all the makings of something I would love. Unfortunately it really fell flat for me. I didn't feel any connections to the characters and the plot felt a bit flat. I'm considering reading the sequel but I don't think that'll happen any time soon. 7. Biggest Surprise I was really surprised by this book! I didn't have very high expectations going in because I had not heard many people talk about this one before. I definitely recommend this to anyone that like true crime, reality tv and mysteries! 8. Favourite New Author This one was definitely hard, it was a toss up between Leigh Bardugo and Maggie Stiefvater. But in the end I couldn't choose between the two! I loved the books I read from them, and I enjoyed their writing styles a lot. Leigh has this addicting writing style that kept me flying through Shadow and Bone, while Maggie Stiefvater created such a atmospheric tone in The Raven Boys. I can't wait to see how I feel about their other books. I'm planning to read everything these two have published! 9. Newest Fictional Crush Definitely Jest from Heartless. but some other options (there's a lot 😂)but Nik Malikov from Gemina, and Edan from Spin the Dawn. I'm trying not to reuse books but I will honourably mention Mal from Shadow and Bone, and Gansey from The Raven Boys. From this I've learned that apparently dark haired, sarcastic, witty, and funny guys are my type 😍😂. 10. Newest Fictional Character I'm going with Veronkya from Crown of Feathers! I loved seeing her progression so far within the first two books. She's become incredibly strong and is learning to strategize and lead others. I'm looking forward to see what she does in the third book! 11. Book That Made You Cry No books have made my cry yet this year but these two were very close! 12. Book that Made You Happy Waking Spero definitely made me happy! The characters were light hearted and funny, and the pop references made me laugh! 13. Fav Book To Movie Adaptation All of the Harry Potter movies! They're my favourites! 14. Fav Review Written So Far I haven't written many reviews on my blog however I'm hoping to change that and review a lot more! Waking Spero by I.Q. Malcolm is for sure my favourite review so far. It was a lot of fun to write because I enjoyed so many aspects of the book. Here's a link to my review! Don't forget to check it out this August 11th! 15. Most Beautiful Book Bought So Far I recently hauled this book and I still can't get over how beautiful it is! The detail and colours are truly captivating. 16. Books to Read by the End of the Year I am for sure reading the Throne of Glass series this year. I've finally acquired all of the books from my library. I've also had Children of Blood and Bone on my tbr FOREVER so I am making sure I'll read it soon. There's so many more but I'll be here all day if I list them all! That's it for the tag everyone! I big thank you to Amy again for tagging me! It definitely was a lot of fun. I hope you guys have a great day, and keep reading!
