Happy Monday bookworms! Today I'm excited to be reviewing Dream On by Angie Hockman! Thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada for sending me an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. This book comes out tomorrow! Content warnings
Car accident, coma After law student Cass Walker wakes up after surviving a car accident, all she can think about is her boyfriend Devin. Except Devin doesn't exist. All of her memories are so real and detailed but she knows he's just a figment of her imagination. So when she runs into the real Devin a year later in a flower ship, she's shocked. Even more so when Devin believes her story. It seems like the universe brought them together, but fate might have other plans.
This was a great summer read! Very quick paced and light. The premise of this book intrigued me a lot at the beginning. The plot took a different direction than what I was expecting but I really enjoyed how it panned out! The characters were interesting to read about and I think that Cass was my favourite. I liked how even after a year after the accident we saw that Cass was still adjusting. I would have enjoyed a bit more development and time spent on Cass' relationship with her best friend Brie. I liked the snippets that we saw, and I think it would've been fun to explore. The romance was very cute and I thought the pacing was well done. Not to rushed, but also not too slow. I really liked the setting of the flower shop! I've never read a book that featured one but the descriptions made it easy to picture in my head. I also loved the dog that lives in the flower shop, his name is The Colonel! He was so cute! Definitely recommend this to everyone looking for a light and cheery summer read! I gave this book 4/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. That's all for my review of Dream On by Angie Hockman! I hope you enjoyed it! What are you looking forward to this week? Let me know in the comments below!
